The cost of the tour is 25,000 AMD for a group of 1 to 4 people. Entrance tickets are not included in the price.

First stop: Charents Arch

Charents Arch offers a beautiful view of Mount Ararat, the biblical mountain of Armenia. The arch was built in 1957 by Rafael Israelyan and was named the “Arch of Peace” in honor of the great Armenian poet Yeghishe Charents. The outer part of the arch is made of basalt, while the inner part is made of pink tuff.

Second stop: Garni Temple

Garni Temple is one of the most remarkable historical monuments in Armenia. The pagan temple of Garni was built around 77 AD during the reign of King Tiridates I and is located on the left bank of the Azat River. The temple is dedicated to Mihr, the Armenian god of light and the sun.
Garni Temple is the only surviving pagan temple in Armenia. It was built from gray basalt. The structure rests on 24 columns: six in the front and back, and eight on each side. The 24 columns symbolize the 24 hours of the day. On the territory of Garni, there are also the ruins of a fortress and the remains of an ancient Roman bath.

Third stop: Geghard Monastery

Geghard Monastery is a medieval Armenian monastic complex. The name Geghard is connected with the spear of the Roman soldier Longinus, which pierced the side of Christ and, according to tradition, was brought to Armenia by Apostle Thaddeus, one of the first preachers of Christianity.
Geghard Monastery is believed to have been founded by the first Catholicos, Gregory the Illuminator. The monastery complex is partly carved into the rock and consists of the main church, two courtyards and two churches. Geghard Monastery is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Fourth stop: Symphony of Stones

The natural monument known as the Symphony of Stones is located along the Azat River. It received its name because the hanging basalt columns resemble the pipes of a musical organ. The monument was formed as a result of the cooling and crystallization of volcanic lava.
